80-Yr-Old Man Gets Life Sentence for Killing Brother 40 Yrs Back

Lucknow: An 80-year-old man was punished with life imprisonment by a court in Aligarh of Uttar Pradesh for the murder of his brother 40 years back.

The aged convict Jaipal Singh had committed the murder in 1983. The court of Additional District Judge Manoj Kumar Agarwal on Monday convicted Jaipal Singh of the murder of his brother Raghunath Singh in 1983 and sentenced him to life imprisonment.

According to the chargesheet filed against Jaipal, the incident occurred at Nagla Chura village under the Iglas police station in 1983.

Jaipal Singh beat his brother Raghunath Singh to death when their father Reoti Singh willed a property to Raghunath instead of him.

Aged Jaipal was immediately arrested in the courtroom after the pronouncement of the judgment and was shifted to the prison.
