ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 To Be Hosted In The USA

Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced that the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be hosted in the United States. This marks a historic moment as it is the first time the event will take place on American soil. Three venues have been selected for this prestigious tournament: Grand Prairie in Dallas, Broward County in Florida, and Nassau County in New York.

The decision to award the hosting rights to the West Indies and the USA was made by the ICC Board in November 2021 after a thorough evaluation of various options. To accommodate the event, plans are underway for the construction of a modular stadium in Eisenhower Park, Nassau County, New York, with a seating capacity of 34,000, pending permit approval next month. Additionally, existing venues in Grand Prairie and Broward County will be expanded using modular stadium solutions to increase seating, media facilities, and premium hospitality areas, pending final agreements.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman shared his enthusiasm for hosting the Men’s T20 World Cup, recognizing it as one of the world’s most popular sporting events. Eisenhower Park in Nassau County has a rich history of hosting large-scale events, and now it will welcome cricket fans from around the world.

In addition to the main tournament venues, several other locations across the USA have been identified as potential venues for pre-event matches and training sessions.
