CBI Files 2nd Chargesheet Accused in NEET-UG Paper Leak Case

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed a second chargesheet before the Special Court for CBI cases in Patna against the six accused in connection with the NEET-UG 2024 question paper leak case.

On August 1, the agency had filed the first chargesheet against 13 accused.

This second chargesheet has been filed against the six accused — Baldev Kumar, Sunny Kumar, Dr Ahsanul Haque (principal, Oasis School, Hazaribagh & city coordinator of Hazaribagh), Mohammad Imtiyaz Alam (vice-principal, Oasis School and centre superintendent), Jamaluddin (a Hazaribagh-based journalist) and Aman Kumar Singh.

The chargesheet has been submitted under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code. Charges under Section 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), have been invoked against the Oasis School’s principal who was appointed city coordinator, and the vice-principal who was appointed as the Centre Superintendent by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the conduct of exam.
