Deepfake Video of Kajol Appears on Internet After Those of Rashmika Mandana, Katrina Kaif

Mumbai: Digitally altered deepfake video clip of Bollywood actor Kajol has appeared on social media.

Similar deepfake videos and photos of Rahmika Mandanna and Katrina Kaif were circulated on social media in the recent past.

In the deepfake clip of Kajol, a woman is seen changing clothes on camera. Kajol’s face has been morphed to the woman in the video. The woman in the video is really an English social media influencer Rosie Breen, and her video was originally posted on TikTok on June 5, 2023, as part of the ‘Get Ready With Me’ trend.

It has been found that this video clip was altered using artificial intelligence (AI) tools, and the social influencer’s face was manipulated and replaced by that of Kajol.

An FIR was registered against unknown individuals by the Delhi Police in Mandanna’s case. The cops later also questioned a 19-year-old from Bihar in connection to the case as they suspected that he was the first one to upload the video on social media.
