Drugs Worth Rs 1.15 Cr Unearthed from Toy, Lunch Box, Chocolates, Candies in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: During a joint operation, officials of the Customs Department, Ahmedabad Crime Branch and the excise department, unearthed drugs worth more than Rs 1.15 crore from parcels at the Foreign Post Office in Ahmedabad of Gujarat, on Saturday, reported NDTV.

The seized drugs were mostly hybrid and synthetic ganja, which was hidden inside children’s toys, chocolates, lunch boxes and candy vitamins. One person was detained in connection with the case.

The seized drugs originated from Canada, the USA, and Thailand. They were sent to India as parcels of toys, lunch boxes and other children’s items to avoid suspicion.
