Men Throw Chilli Powder at Cops, Shoot Murder Accused in Rajasthan

Jaipur: In a disturbing incident, a group of armed men stormed a Rajasthan Roadways bus in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, targeting two murder accused who were being transported by a police team for a court hearing. The attackers, arriving in a car and two motorcycles, stopped the bus and launched an assault, throwing chilli powder at the policemen and opening fire on the accused individuals.

Despite efforts by the police team to protect them, one of the murder accused, Kuldeep Jagheena, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The other accused, Vijaypal, sustained critical injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. The police have managed to identify the culprits through CCTV footage and have recovered a vehicle involved in the incident.

As a precautionary measure, neighbouring districts have been alerted, and stringent checks are being conducted on highways. The police have refrained from retaliatory fire to ensure the safety of bus passengers. An inquiry will be conducted to determine if any negligence occurred among the police officers.

The murder accused, Kuldeep Jagheena and Vijaypal, were allegedly involved in a murder case from September 2022, related to a land dispute. Kuldeep Jagheena was the primary suspect and, along with four others, was arrested in Maharashtra in September last year.
