Gangster Sharad Mohal Shot Dead by Gang Members in Pune

Pune: The Pune-based gangster Sharad Mohol was shot dead by his own gang members on Friday afternoon. According to police sources, an alleged financial dispute led to this killing.

Three to four assailants fired at Mohol from close range. A bullet pierced his chest while two others hit his right shoulder.

He was rushed to a private hospital in Kothrud, where he was declared dead.

The police have arrested eight persons in connection with the shooting. Three revolvers, three magazines, and five rounds of live ammunition were seized from their possession.

Sharad Mohol was a known name in the crime world in Maharashtra. He had several cases including murder and dacoity pending against him. He had been previously accused in the murder case of suspected Indian Mujahideen operative Mohammad Qateel Siddiqui inside Yerawada Jail but was acquitted of the charges.

The Pune Police have formed nine teams to investigate the Mohol case.
