Headmaster Involved in Alleged Sexual Harassment Of Students Arrested In Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: The headmaster of a government school in Arunachal Pradesh was arrested on Thursday for allegedly sexually harassing students.

The accused identified as Muhammad Asgar Ali was posted as the headmaster of Government Secondary School (GSS) in Gautampur. He was arrested after a group of students on October 2 complained of mental harassment, implied or explicit threats, blackmail, and sexually coloured remarks by him.

The complaining students were from different classes ranging from Class 7 to Class 10.

He allegedly called a girl student to his room at midnight and threatened to fail her if she did not agree to his demands. The headmaster has also been accused of using derogatory language during school hours and passing communal slurs.
