Sex Harassment Case Against Deve Gowda’s Grandson Following Obscene Video Scandal

Bengaluru: A woman has filed a First Information Report (FIR) with Holenarasipur police station in Hassan district against Karnataka MP Prajwal Revanna over alleged sexual assault.

This police complaint was filed amid a huge uproar in the state over purported obscene videos viral on social media.

Prajwal Revanna is a Janata Dal (Secular) MP. He is the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.

Revanna has claimed that the viral obscene videos were morphed. He left for Germany Sunday morning.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday said the state government will form a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate this obscene videos case.

In the FIR, the concerned woman alleged that she was sexually abused multiple times between 2019 and 2022. Prajwal Revanna was the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate in the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, where voting was held in the second phase on April 26.
