HD Revanna To be in Judicial Custody Till May 14 in Kidnapping Case

Bengaluru: A court in Karnataka sent Karnataka JD-S MLA HD Revanna to judicial custody till May 14 in a kidnapping case, on Wednesday.

The JD(S) MLA is accused of kidnapping a woman allegedly sexually abused by his son Prajwal Revanna.

The three-day police custody of the MLA ended on Wednesday. During the court hearing, HD Revanna told the judge that he had not slept for three days due to stomach pain. He also claimed that throughout his tenure of 25 years as an MLA, there had been no charges against him.

HD Revanna is the son of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.

He and his close associate Sathish Babanna were booked for allegedly abducting a woman on April 29.
