Karnataka SIT Sets Up Helpline for Victims of Sex Scandal Involving MP Prajwal Revanna

Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Teams (SIT) formed in Karnataka to investigate the alleged sex scandal involving suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, on Sunday set up a helpline for affected women.

The SIT notification stated, “SIT sets up helpline number – 6360-938947 – for victims to come forward and report the crime in the Prajwal Revanna case.”

The SIT also warned people against spreading videos and photos of the survivors, stating that legal action will be taken against them.

The Karnataka SIT also asked media outlets to refrain from revealing the identities of the survivors.

On Saturday, a woman was rescued from a farmhouse linked to Karnataka MLA HD Revanna. HD Revanna was arrested by the SIT on the same day from his father, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s home, in a kidnapping case registered against him.

Prajwal Revanna has escaped out of India and is said to be in Germany.
