Honour Killing in Pakistan; Man Murders Sister & Her Friend

Suspecting that they were having an affair, a man hacked his sister and her male friend to death with an axe in the Punjab province of Pakistan.

The incident happened in Alipur tehsil of Muzaffarnagar district. In this incident of honour killing, one Mulazim Hussain murdered his 20-year-old sister and Fayyaz Hussain of their locality. Mulazim killed both of them, while they were meeting each other at Fayyaz’s place.

Mulazim attacked the couple with an axe, killing them on the spot. After committing the crime Mulazim surrendered before the Pakistan police and confessed to his crime.

In Pakistan several persons mostly women are killed by their family members in the name of honour. According to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, at least 1,000 women become victims of honour killings every year.
