Man Hacks Wife to Death in Balangir District

Balangir: A man allegedly hacked his wife to death with an axe at Brahmapura village under Patnagarh police station limits in Odisha’s Balangir district.

According to police sources, the accused identified as Krushna Chandra Bag escaped from the spot after committing the crime. A search operation has been initiated to arrest him.

According to locals, the accused used to have regular quarrels with his wife Anjana Bag over trivial matters.

According to the son of the couple, who is an eyewitness to the incident, his father hacked his mother with an axe while she was taking a bath on Friday morning.

The Patnagarh police have seized the body for post-mortem and launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
