Murder Accused Shot Dead in Jharkhand Jail, 6 Including Jailer Suspended

Dhanbad: Six jail officials including a jailer were suspended after a murder accused was shot dead in Dhanbad Jail. Two contractual jail employees were also terminated in relation to this incident.

Dhanbad prison authorities also recommended the transfer of Dhanbad Jail Superintendent M Barua and the shifting of 23 prisoners of Dhanbad jail to other jails in the state.

Aman Singh, a sharpshooter of a criminal gang, was shot dead in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad jail on Sunday afternoon. One of the main accused in the shooting case has been identified as Sunder Mahto, who is being interrogated.
