PUBG Addict Mentally-Ill Son Kills Parents in UP

Lucknow: A mentally-ill man beat his parents to death with a lathi in the Nawabad Thana area of Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi district.

According to neighbours and relatives, the accused, Ankit started showing signs of mental illness because of his online PUBG playing addiction. Until 2018 he was normal and was preparing for competitive exams.

A milkman found Ankit’s father, Lakshmi Prasad, a government school teacher, dead in a pool of blood. Lakshmi Prasad’s wife, Vimal Devi was also located in critically injured condition. She died during treatment.

Locals locked up Ankit in a room and informed the police. During interrogation, Ankit revealed that he beat his father to death and also injured his mother lethally.

Ankit’s relatives alleged that his violent behavior was because of his PUBG addiction which led to his mental illness.
