Teenager Kills 8-Yr-Old Girl for Teasing Him, Arrested Along With Father in Maharashtra

Mumbai: A 16-year-old allegedly killed an eight-year-old girl of a neighbouring family in the Palghar district of Maharashtra, because he was irked by her teasing him.

The murder was committed on December 1 at a chawl in Pelhar village. The body of the victim was recovered three days later. On Wednesday, the investigating police personnel detained the boy from Jalna district in connection to the murder and also arrested his father on the charge of trying to dispose of the victim’s body.

On December 4, the decomposed body of the girl was found stuffed in a plastic bag in an unoccupied room in the same chawl where the accused resided. The 16-year-old boy from the same chawl was absconding since the body was found. An investigation confirmed that he had killed the girl.

During interrogation, the accused juvenile confessed that the girl used to tease him and he was annoyed about it. On December 1, when the girl came out of her house alone at night, he dragged her into his house and strangulated her to death.

He hid the body in their house for two days and later told his father about it. The duo shifted the body to an unoccupied room in their chawl. The man sent the teenage accused his hometown in Jalna district after the body was recovered.
