UK-Based Gangster Suspected to be Behind Haryana INLD Chief’s Murder

Chandigarh: A UK-based gangster is suspected to be involved in the murder of Nafe Singh Rathee, Haryana unit president of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and former MLA.

According to the Haryana Police, they would interrogate a close associate of the UK-based gangster, lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, in connection with the INLD leader’s murder case.

Earlier, the police interrogated Sandeep, alias Kala Jathedi, a top gangster in Haryana, in Tihar Jail.

Rathee and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) worker Jai Kishan died when unidentified armed assailants fired at their SUV at Bahadurgarh, near Delhi, on Sunday.

In the FIR, the police have named former MLA Naresh Kaushik, Karambir Rathee, Ramesh Rathee, Satish Rathee, Gaurav Rathee, Rahul and Kamal along with five unnamed accused.

As per reports, five unidentified killers, who were following Rathee’s vehicle, came out and fired indiscriminately near the Barahi railway crossing.

On Monday, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said the probe into Rathee’s killing will be handed over to the CBI.
