UP Woman Attacked With Blade For Refusing Mother-In-Law’s Sexual Advances

Agra: In a shocking incident, a woman from Agra alleged severe abuse and assault after refusing to comply with her mother-in-law’s sexual advances.

The woman, Anjali Chaturvedi, married since 2022 and residing in Ghazipur, reported that her mother-in-law tried to establish a forced physical relationship, resulting in brutal consequences when she refused.

According to the FIR, Chaturvedi’s mother-in-law expressed romantic feelings towards her and demanded a physical relationship. When Chaturvedi resisted, she was reportedly attacked with a blade. Despite confiding in her husband, her pleas were dismissed, and the mother-in-law’s abuse escalated.

The abuse did not end with the mother-in-law. Chaturvedi’s in-laws, including her husband and sister-in-law, allegedly demanded dowry and subjected her to repeated harassment. She further claimed that her husband forced her to have sex with his friends to extort more money.

Amidst ongoing torture, Chaturvedi became pregnant and gave birth in 2023. However, her husband questioned the child’s paternity and refused to accept the baby, exacerbating her suffering.

The police have registered a case of assault, dowry demand, and treachery against her husband, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and other relatives. Police have launched a thorough investigation based on Chaturvedi’s complaint.
