UP Woman Stabs Husband in Eye for Asking for Tea, Escapes to Dodge Arrest

Lucknow: A man named Ankit was stabbed in the eye with scissors when he asked for a cup of tea in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district. Leaving behind the bleeding husband, the woman preferred to escape from the spot to evade arrest.

Ankit had married the woman three years back. They were having frequent fights over trivial matters. Three days before the violent incident, Ankit’s wife had registered a complaint of assault against him and his family.

On the fateful day, Ankit had asked for a cup of tea, which allegedly irked his wife. All of a sudden, she picked up a pair of scissors and stabbed him in the eye and fled before the arrival of police.

Injured Ankit is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Meerut.

Police teams have been formed to nab the woman and further investigation is underway.
