Youth Murders Married Woman Over One-Sided Romance

Bhubaneswar: A youth allegedly murdered a 20-year-old married woman because of his one-sided love affair with her in Bhubaneswar.

He stabbed a woman named Deepika on Tuesday near her residence at Sishu Bhawan Square. The injured woman was admitted to the SCB Medical College an dHospital in Cuttack, where he succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday.

According to police sources, the accused has been identified and a manhunt is on to nab him.

Deepika’s husband, Kunjbihari Dutta, alleged that the accused had developed one-sided love towards his wife and attacked her when she protested his advances. Deepika used to assist her husband at Kunjabihari’s mobile phone repair shop.

Police have registered a murder case into the incident and started an investigation.
