Odisha Govt Hikes Daily Allowance of Village Resource Persons

Bhubaneswar: The Daily allowance of village resource persons serving in Odisha was increased by the state government. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced that the daily allowance of the village resource persons will be increased from Rs 300 to Rs 400.

Added to it, the village resource persons will also get Rs 100 towards travel allowance.

This hike in allowance will benefit around 10,000 village resource persons in Odisha. It will cost an additional expenditure of Rs 2.88 crore to the state exchequer.

The village resource persons are engaged in social audit of different government schemes including MGNREGA, pucca house, food security, mid-day meal and others.
