Aamir Khan’s Son Junaid to Star in ‘Maharaj’ of YRF-Netflix

Mumbai: Aamir Khan’s son Junaid will make his debut in the Hindi film industry by starring in a project titled ‘Maharaj’, a joint venture of Yash Raj Films and OTT giant Netflix.

The first two projects to come out of this YRF-Netflix partnership are the thriller series The Railway Men and Maharaj.

Junaid is the elder of the two sons of Aamir Khan with his ex-wife and film producer Reena Dutta.

Set in 1800, Maharaj is a period drama about a journalist, who decides to pursue challenging stories of truth and courage that question the society. It will be directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. Besides Junaid, the film will also feature Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari and Shalini Pandey.

Other than Junaid, Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta are also parents to Ira Khan. Aamir also fathered Azad with ex-wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao.
