Ameesha Patel booked In Fraud Case

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has landed in legal trouble after a civil court in Ranchi issued a warrant against her and her business partner Krunal in a fraud and cheque bounce case.

The actress has been booked under sections 420 and 120 of the CrPC.

According to reports, one Ajay Kumar Singh, a resident of Harmu in the Ranchi district, filed a complaint of fraud, intimidation and cheque bounce against Ameesha Patel and her business partner.

Complainant Ajay Kumar Singh said the actress and her business partner took Rs 2.5 crore from him for the making and publicity of a film titled Desi Magic.

Meanwhile, the court was displeased since the actress did not keep her stand before the court despite the summons. Neither she nor her lawyer appeared before the court. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for April 15.
