Cameron Ready for Avatar 6 & 7, Script for Avatar 5 Written

Veteran filmmaker James Cameron has plans to make the Avatar franchise’s sixth and seventh films, while Avatar 3 is yet to be complete.

Speaking at the 51st annual Saturn Awards in Los Angeles, Cameron said, “We have fully written movie number five, and I’ve got ideas for six and seven, although I’ll probably be handing the baton at that point in time,” said Cameron. Cameron got four awards at the ceremony, including Best Feature Director. According to him, Avatar will be a franchise like Star Wars and Star Trek.

Avatar 3 is expected to be released in 2025, with Avatar 4 in 2029 and Avatar 5 in 2031.
