Avatar 3 to Have a Charlie Chaplin Connection

Avatar’s next sequel will have a Charlie Chaplin connection. James Cameron’s ‘The Way of Water; which is the sequel to Avatar continues to reign over the box office all over the world. It has become the fourth highest-grossing movie of all time with nearly $2.13 billion worldwide box office collections.

As per reports, James Cameron has already shot Avatar 3 and parts of Avatar 4. He has also declared the possibility of Avatar 5 in the future.

Now, Avatar producer Jon Landau has revealed that the next Avatar sequel has a Charlie Chaplin connection. In an interview with Empire magazine, Avatar producer Jon Landau informed that Avatar 3 will show a new race of Na’vi. The leader of the race will be played by Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter, Oona Chaplin.

“There are good humans and there are bad humans. It’s the same thing on the Na’vi side. Oftentimes, people don’t see themselves as bad. What is the root cause of how they evolve into what we perceive as bad? Maybe there are other factors there that we aren’t aware of,” Landau said.

Oona Chaplin praised the Avatar franchise in 2018 and described it as Trojan horse cinema.

Avatar’s producer also revealed that Avatar 4 will see a big time jump which will eventually lead to Avatar 5 which will be partially set on Earth.
