Delhi Excise Policy Scam: Manish Sisodia’s Judicial Custody Extended Till May 21

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Wednesday extended the judicial custody of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia until May 21 in connection with a money laundering case related to the alleged excise scam.

Special Judge Kaveri Baweja made this decision after Sisodia was produced before the court via video conference upon the expiration of his earlier judicial custody.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Sisodia on March 9 last year in connection with the liquor policy case. Before that, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had also taken him into custody as part of its ongoing investigation into irregularities associated with the framing and implementation of the excise policy in the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Sisodia remains in judicial custody, facing legal proceedings in both cases.
