Mansoor Ali Khan To Sue Trisha Days After Apologising For ‘Rape Scene’ Remark

Hyderabad: Days after issuing an apology to actress Trisha for his previous misogynistic remarks against her, actor Mansoor Ali Khan has said that he is going to file a defamation case against the actress. This decision comes as a shock to many, considering Mansoor’s earlier apology seemed sincere.

Mansoor’s apology, which stated, “My co-actress Trisha, forgive me. Let God bless me by having me during your wedding,” was initially met with mixed reactions. While some appreciated his attempt to make amends, others felt it was inadequate and lacked genuine remorse.

Despite the initial apology, Mansoor has now taken a different approach, claiming that his apology was the “biggest joke” and that he will be filing a defamation case against Trisha. This decision has further fueled the controversy surrounding the incident.

It’s important to note that Mansoor’s apology was made in the context of a summons issued by the All Women Police Station of Thousand Lights, Chennai, for his failure to appear at the station in connection to the derogatory remarks. Additionally, the Chennai City Police had already booked Mansoor under Sections 354 A (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.

The National Commission for Women had also directed the Tamil Nadu police to register a case against Mansoor following Trisha’s condemnation of his remarks. Trisha had described Mansoor’s comments as sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive, and in bad taste.
