Three button-shaped batteries were removed from the penis of a 73-year-old Australian man through urgent medical procedure.

According to a report published in Urology Case Reports, the unidentified man had shoved in these batteries in his penile urethra for his own “sexual pleasure”. He confessed before the treating doctors that he was regularly inserting foreign objects into his penis. As per the report, the man sought medical help 24 hours after inserting three button batteries into his penile urethra. After several unsuccessful approaches, the doctors were finally able to remove the batteries using forceps. “All extracted batteries were coated with black tar-like material,” the study noted.

The man returned to the hospital 10 days later, complaining of swelling and icky discharge. The doctors then quickly operated on him again.
