It was told in the research that in the investigation of 69 chickens, the amount of lead in the blood of about 45 percent was found to be more than 20 micrograms per deciliter.

It is believed that the dangerous amount of lead found in chickens depends on the amount of lead present in the soil there. Research has found that this lead has come from chickens lifting their food from the soil and scratching the soil. At the same time, in a small sample of eggs taken from the market, this quantity of lead has been found only 5 micrograms per deciliter.
