2 Killed After Pakistani Taliban Militants Storm Karachi Police Chief’s Office

Islamabad: Karachi Police chief office in Pakistan has been captured by several armed militants and they opened fire on Friday.

The Karachi Police surgeon told news agency Reuters that two people had been killed and three wounded in the attack on the police chief’s office.

While the number of police officials presents inside the office was not confirmed, Deputy Inspector General Irfan Baloch said there could have been up to 30 police at the station at the time of the attack.

As per local media reports, at least eight armed militants stormed into the office and are still inside the police chief’s office, situated on Sharea Faisal in Karachi.

As per a report by Pakistan’s Geo News, at least 8-10 armed men are inside the police chief’s office and the exchange of fire is presently underway.

Following the attack, the Karachi Police and Pakistan Rangers have cordoned off the area.

According to reports from local media, hand grenades and automatic guns were used by no less than eight terrorists.
