Donald Trump Claims PM Modi Will Meet Him Next Week in US

Former president Donald Trump, who is contesting in the upcoming presidential election has declared that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet him next week during his three-day visit to the US.

PM Modi will be in the US from September 21 to 23. He will take part in the Quad Leaders’ Summit being hosted by President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware. It will also be attended by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of Australia and Prime Minister Kishida Fumio of Japan.

Modi will address a mega community event in Long Island on September 22. He will address world leaders at the landmark Summit of the Future event at the UN headquarters on September 23.

While addressing a gathering at a town hall in Flint, Michigan on Tuesday, Trump declared that PM Modi will meet him next week when he is in the US.

“He (Modi) happens to be coming to meet me next week, and Modi, he’s fantastic. I mean, fantastic man. A lot of these leaders are fantastic,” Trump said.

At the same time, Trump added that India imposes heavy tariffs on imports from the US.
