IED Blast In A Motor Cycle At Market In Balochistan, 4 Killed, 14 Injured

Islamabad: As many as four people were killed and around 10 were critically injured after an explosion took place inside a market in Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Sunday.

According to reports, the blast occurred in the Rakhni market area when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on a motorcycle exploded.

Barkhan Station House Officer (SHO) Sajjad Afzal said the injured people were moved to a nearby hospital.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has condemned the blast and directed the authorities to take all possible steps to arrest the culprits.

The Balochistan province has experienced a surge in violent incidents in recent months, including bombings and targeted attacks, leading to heightened security measures and public safety concerns.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the blast and sought a report from the chief minister.
