Masked Vagrants Spray Unknown Substance in Canada Theatres Showing Hindi Movies

People watching Hindi movies in three different film halls in the Greater Toronto Area in Canada were evacuated when some masked miscreants sprayed some unknown substance inside the theatres. Some evacuated audiences were treated for exposure to this unknown substance.

According to Canadian police, one such incident happened around 9.20 pm on Tuesday at a cinema complex in Vaughan. Around 200 film viewers started coughing because of the “unknown, aerosol-based, irritating substance sprayed into the air” by the masked men. But no serious injuries were reported.

The suspects managed to escape.

Similar incidents were reported from Peel and Toronto this week, CBC News reported. All incidents occurred within less than three hours on the same evening.

No arrests have been made yet.

Toronto police said they got a call on Tuesday night about someone setting off a “stink bomb” in a theatre at Scarborough Town Centre. The theatre was evacuated.
