WATCH: Millionaire Banker Caught on Camera Punching Woman at NYC Pride Event

New York: A video circulating online shows Jonathan Kaye, a managing director at Moelis & Co., punching a woman in the face at a Brooklyn Pride event. The incident has sparked outrage and prompted an investigation by the investment bank.

The video does not capture the altercation’s lead-up but shows Kaye walking away with a distressed demeanour and stains on his jacket. Witnesses reported the woman falling to the ground and claimed Kaye broke her nose.

Moelis & Co. released a statement acknowledging the seriousness of the situation and confirming an ongoing investigation. Kaye, who heads the firm’s business services division, joined Moelis & Co. in 2013 after leading the Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Citibank.

This assault comes amidst rising concerns about violence against LGBTQ+ individuals in New York City. The incident follows the high-profile case of Skiboky Stora, who faces hate crime charges for allegedly targeting victims based on race, religion, and sexual orientation.
