Dalit Man Tortured by Rajasthan Congress MLA, DSP, Made to Lick Shoes & Urinated Upon; FIR Filed

Jaipur: A Dalit man in Rajasthan has filed a complaint against Congress MLA Gopal Meena and a senior police officer for allegedly assaulting him. The incident occurred on June 30, but due to fear, the victim lodged the complaint on July 27.

According to the complaint, the victim was working in a field when he was confronted by a group of men, including DSP Shiv Kumar Bhardwaj. The men physically assaulted the victim and urinated on him. The police officer reportedly used the MLA’s name to intimidate the victim.

The victim also alleged that the MLA forced him to lick his shoes and confiscated his mobile phone. He said that he was threatened with dire consequences if he reported the incident.

Initially, local authorities failed to take action on the complaint. The victim then escalated the matter to senior officials, but no action was taken until he approached a court. The court then directed the police to file an FIR.

The FIR names MLA Gopal Meena and DSP Shiv Kumar Bhardwaj as the accused. The victim has since reported receiving ongoing threats. The case is currently under investigation by the Crime Branch, Crime Investigation Department (CB-CID).
