Russia Trashes Western Allegations of Involvement in Wagner Chief’s Plane Crash

Moscow: The Kremlin on Friday denied Western suggestions that Wagner mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin had been killed on its orders.

“These suggestions are an absolute lie,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a call with reporters. “An investigation into the plane crash in which Prigozhin and his associates were killed is ongoing.”

Peskov added that President Vladimir Putin had not met Prigozhin recently.

Addressing speculation, Peskov clarified that President Putin had not recently met with Prigozhin. The Kremlin’s stance remains focused on awaiting the results of the investigation before drawing any conclusions.
