CJI Chandrachud and 3 More Judges of Supreme Court to Retire in 2024

New Delhi: Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and three other Supreme Court judges will retire in 2024.

CJI Chandrachud will retire on November 10, 2024. He will be succeeded by Justice Sanjiv Khanna, who will be the next Chief Justice of India till May 13, 2025.

Justice Aniruddha Bose will retire on April 10, followed by Justice AS Bopanna in May. Justice Hima Kohli will leave the Top Court on September 1.

These retirements of Supreme Court judges will follow the retirement of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul in the third week of December 2023.

The sanctioned strength of the Supreme Court is 34 judges.
