Wedding Cancelled As Bride’s family Didn’t Serve Mutton Bone Marrow Dish

Hyderabad: A groom’s family cancelled the wedding in Telangana as the bride’s family did not serve mutton bone marrow dish as part of the non-vegetarian menu, reported NDTV.

The bride’s family hails from Nizamabad and the groom’s family is from Jagtiyal. The engagement ceremony for this marriage was held at the bride’s residence in November.

But the wedding was called off soon after as the bride’s family’s non-vegetarian menu for guests could not satisfy the groom’s family and relatives.

The groom’s family complained that the bone marrow of mutton was not served although the bride’s family had promised for it. This escalated to a fight and police had to be called up to intervene.

Officials at the local police station failed to pacify the groom’s family, who termed the whole episode as an “insult”. Ultimately, the engagement party ended with the groom’s family calling off the wedding.
