160 Kg Ailing Woman Falls From Bed: Family Turns to Civic Body for Assistance

Thane: A family faced a challenging situation when their ailing 62-year-old relative, weighing 160 kg, fell from her bed in their Waghbil flat at 8 AM in Thane city, Maharashtra. Due to her mobility issues and poor health, they were unable to assist her in getting back onto the bed.

Faced with this predicament, the distressed family decided to seek assistance from the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC). Yasin Tadvi, the head of TMC’s Disaster Management Cell, reported that they promptly called the fire department for help.

Responding swiftly to the call, a team from the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) arrived at the scene. They skillfully lifted the woman and safely placed her back on the bed. Fortunately, the woman did not suffer any injuries during the incident.

While the RDMC routinely handles various emergency calls, this particular situation was indeed out of the ordinary. Their swift response and expertise ensured a positive outcome for this unique rescue operation.
