China Is Ready To Work With India Towards Stability In Border Areas

New Delhi: Around two weeks after Indian and China troops clashed at Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, the latter has said that they are ready to work with India towards stability in border areas.

China issued a statement on Sunday regarding bilateral relations between the countries.

China has said that they want to work with India in the direction toward steady and sound growth of China-India relations.

“We stand ready to work with India in the direction toward steady and sound growth of China-India relations, “Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was quoted by ANI as saying.

He further stated that both countries have maintained communication through diplomatic channels and are committed to upholding stability in border areas.

The Ministry of External Affairs in a statement said, “In the interim, the two sides agreed to maintain security and stability on the ground in the Western Sector.”

The MEA statement said the two sides agreed to stay in close contact, and maintain dialogue through military and diplomatic channels and work out a mutually acceptable resolution of the remaining issues at the earliest.
