Delhi Fridge Murder: 5-Day Police Custody For Accused

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Wednesday sent a man accused of killing his live-in partner and stuffing her body into a fridge in Delhi to five-day police custody for interrogation.

The accused was identified as Sahil Gehlot (26) from the outskirts of Mitraon village in Najafgarh in Delhi.

According to reports, the deceased, identified as Nikki Yadav, was strangulated to death near Kashmiri Gate ISBT. The accused allegedly used the data cable of his mobile in his car to strangulate her.

Police said that the duo was in a relationship. The accused allegedly killed the woman after she rejected his marriage proposal.

Later, he chopped her body parts and hid the body parts in the fridge of his dhaba located on the outskirts of Mitraon village.

He was arrested on Tuesday after the police found the woman’s body parts inside the fridge at the dhaba. The police are interrogating the accused for further legal action.

The case closely resembles the Shraddha Walkar murder case, where a 27-year-old woman was strangulated by her live-in partner Aaftab Amin Poonawala.
