Government Approves Rs 1.64 Lakh Crore BSNL Revitalization Plan

New Delhi: The government has authorised a substantial 1 Lakh 64 thousand crore rupee rehabilitation package for BSNL. Minister of Communications, Ashwini Vaishnaw stated in response to queries during today’s Lok Sabha Question Hour that this project will completely transform BSNL.

The measures for BSNL’s rehabilitation centre on injecting new cash for upgrading its services, allocating spectrum, de-stressing its balance sheet, and expanding its fibre network. According to the Minister, BSNL would immediately deploy indigenously created 4G and 5G technology.

In keeping with the Prime Minister’s Make in India policy, which is now acknowledged around the world, Indian engineers built 4G and 5G technology from start to finish, he said.

The Minister claimed that BSNL’s heyday as a cash cow was over. He claimed that the main reason BSNL went through a very difficult period was that many of its finances had been improperly syphoned in the past.
