Khalistanis Threaten Indian Flag At Pragati Maidan; Probe Launched

New Delhi: Amid the Punjab Police’s massive crackdown on separatist leader Amritpal Singh, Khalistani supporters have threatened to replace the Indian flag in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan with the Khalistani flag.

The audio message said supporters of Amritpal Singh would “take over” Pragati Maidan and pull down the flag of India. It also abused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

The audio clip spoke about the massive crackdown in Punjab to search for radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh.

A case was registered by the Delhi Police based on the complaint of a man who received a pre-recorded message on his phone when he landed at the Delhi airport from Mumbai.

The case is being probed by the Special Cell unit of the Delhi Police. Meanwhile, Amritpal Singh continues to evade arrest. Several of his aides have been arrested and questioned by the police.
