PM Modi Envisions India Among World’s Top 3 Economies in Next 5 Years

Dehradun: In his inaugural speech at the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit in Dehradun, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence in India becoming one of the world’s top three economies during his third term. Anticipating victory in the upcoming general election, Modi highlighted the importance of promoting local products globally, presenting opportunities for farmers and investors.

Modi credited Uttarakhand’s double-engine government for achieving comprehensive development by enhancing infrastructure. Both the central and state governments have taken crucial measures to improve highways and link roads, boosting sectors such as tourism, hospitality, tour and travel, and agriculture.

Dispelling the notion that mountainous regions have limited contributions, Modi emphasized the commitment to changing the perception of mountain water and youth. Measures have been implemented to create job opportunities in hometowns, reducing the need for local youths to seek employment in other states.

The Prime Minister announced plans to reduce travel time between Delhi and Dehradun to two and a half hours, aiming to position Uttarakhand as the nation’s new tourist destination. Encouraging the promotion of ‘Wed-In-India,’ Modi urged billionaires to host destination weddings in Uttarakhand instead of abroad, questioning the trend of celebrating marriages overseas.

Recognizing the vast potential of local products, including foodgrains, Modi emphasized opportunities for farmers and investors. He called upon investors to contribute to the global development of these products and seize the potential for mutual growth.
