Neurological Disorder Threatens Leopard’s Life After Mistreatment by MP Villagers

Bhopal: A sick leopard was rescued from villagers in Dewas district and brought to the Indore Zoo for urgent treatment. The leopard is in a critical condition and is being monitored by the zoo’s medical team.

The leopard was found wandering in the forest in a disoriented state. Villagers who saw the animal surrounded it and began to harass and mistreat it. They played with the leopard, took videos, and attempted to take selfies.

The leopard’s condition appears to be a neurological disorder that is causing it to forget its identity. The zoo’s medical team is conducting tests to determine the underlying cause of the disorder.

Samples from the leopard have been sent to the Wildlife Forensic Lab in Jabalpur for further analysis. A comprehensive diagnosis and prognosis can only be provided after the lab’s report is available.

The incident has highlighted the importance of protecting wild animals from human interference. Villagers should be educated about the dangers of harassing and mistreating wild animals.
