New Features For Unorganised Workers Launched On eShram Portal

New Delhi: New features on the eShram portal were unveiled by Labour and Employment Minister Bhupender Yadav in New Delhi today, with the goal of increasing its usefulness for unorganised workers.

The portal that registers employees will now give them access to employment options, skill development, apprenticeships, pension plans, digital skill development, and state-run programmes. For migrant workers who have moved with family, access to programmes for women’s empowerment and child education has also been extended, thanks to a tool that collects family information.

A new feature to ensure that construction employees enrolled on eShram have access to the proper programs by sharing their data with the relevant Building and Other Construction Employees’ Welfare Board has also been included.

The government has also developed a data-sharing portal for the purpose of exchanging eShram data with state and union territory governments.
