SIT Submits Hathras Stampede Report to Uttar Pradesh Govt

Lucknow: The special investigation team (SIT) investigating the Hathras stampede has submitted its report to the Uttar Pradesh government.

The SIT was led by Additional Director General of Police (Agra Zone) Anupam Kulshrestha.

The contents of the report have not been revealed. But sources say, the report has blamed overcrowding for the mishap.

A judicial commission headed by retired Allahabad High Court judge Brijesh Kumar Shrivastava, and retired IPS Hemant Rao is also probing the Hathras stampede case.
