Snake Found In Dubai Bound Air India Plane, DGCA Probe Initiated

A senior Air India official revealed the unexpected discovery of a snake that curled up in the cargo hold of an Air India Express plane after it landed at its destination on Saturday. The incident is currently being looked into by the authority on civil aviation- the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The B737-800’s passengers, who were flying from Calicut to Dubai, were safely deboarded off the plane.

A snake was discovered in the plane’s cargo hold upon landing at the Dubai airport, according to the senior official at the DGCA, who also reported the discovery to the airport fire services.

In addition, he said that ground crew management of the incident was inadequate. The official stated that an investigation into the occurrence and appropriate enforcement action would be taken up.

Later, the reptile was captured by staff at the Newark Liberty International Airport.
