SP Singh Baghel Appointed as MoS in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

New Delhi: According to an official press release, Union Minister SP Singh Baghel has been appointed as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Previously, he held the portfolio of the Ministry of Law and Justice.

This change in Baghel’s portfolio is part of the recent cabinet shuffling by the government. Earlier today, Kiren Rijiju was removed as Law Minister and allotted the portfolio of the Ministry of Earth Sciences.

In the government’s cabinet shuffle, Rijiju was replaced by Arjun Ram Meghwal, who was assigned the independent charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice, in addition to his existing portfolios.

A statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan mentioned that President Droupadi Murmu, following the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has reallocated portfolios among ministers in the Union Council of Ministers.
