Three Kids Crushed To Death By Train In Punjab

Chandigarh: Three children were killed and one has been critically injured after a train ran over them in Punjab’s Kiratpur Sahib on Sunday.

According to reports, the accident took place on the Lohand railway bridge over the Sutlej River when the children were on the tracks as the train going from Saharanpur to Himachal Pradesh arrived near Kiratpur Sahib.

The train halted after the accident and the injured children were taken to the Civil Hospital in Anandpur Sahib but one died on the way.

While two children died on the spot, another died on the way to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the fourth one is receiving treatment at the hospital.

Police said that the children were on the tracks to eat berries off some trees and did not realise that a train was approaching them. Further probe is on.
